Consume a glass of red wine daily represents a simple alternative but may be sufficient to reduce the risk of developing some cancers, as established by the World Cancer Research Fund.

Studies suggest that people who drink wine with an alcohol content of 10% instead of 14% could benefit the organization urged wines lower in alcohol content.

The calculation was based on figures from a 2007 report that examined the evidence for a link between alcohol and cancer, the report recommends that men should not take more than two drinks a day and women no more than one.

The figures used in reaching this conclusion were sufficiently detailed to disclose the additional risk likely posed by each increment of 10 grams of alcohol when consumed regularly.

Scientists estimate in theory, a person to drink 250ml or a glass of wine, reduced by 7% risk of developing colon cancer, for example.
