When a person quits smoking, it is likely to increase a few pounds. Cigarettes reduce appetite and keep your mouth and hands busy, away from food. And while others open the fridge to calm anxiety, smokers have their cigarettes for entertainment.

Will you stop smoking, but without simultaneously gaining weight? The first thing to consider is your main objective, which is to abandon the bad habit and later just think of your silhouette. After all, if you focus too much on the idea of getting fat never make every effort to quit smoking.

There are a couple of tricks to quit smoking without gaining weight. Once you’ve escaped the evil cigarette, apply the following tips to keep your figure in check.

Eat in small portions. It is essential that controls the amounts you eat. As I have said on several occasions, sometimes it happens that you eat too much and too fast, thinking that you are hungry when in fact you were already filled: your brain takes 20 minutes to assimilate you’ve eaten. In addition, you activate your metabolism.

Eat every three hours. Small snacks between meals will make you feel satisfied during the day and not get lunch or dinner like eating everything you find.

Exercise is one of the ways to prevent weight gain. Not only burns calories, but keep you entertained, relaxed and without anxiety retake cigarettes or hold on to the food.

And not to fall into the temptation to start smoking again …

Chew gum or candy. Keep your anxiety under control without resorting to food or cigarettes.

If you used to smoke after meals, get up from the table and brush your teeth right away.
