Protein structure

The protein molecules are very important that make part of cells that make up the body, which contribute to its proper functioning. Some proteins work in the structural support, others are devoted to the movement and some more to the defense against germs.

The protein structures are varied, are work built ab 20 amino acids and have different three-dimensional forms. The following is a list of types of proteins next to their functions that you may know the relative roles to the same:

Proteins Hormonal: broadcast messages chemicals through the body to be carried out different activities. Examples of them are the oxytocin and insulin. The first is responsible for regulating the glucose metabolism, controlling the concentration of sugar in the sander. The second stimulates the contractions during childbirth.

Structural Proteins: Its consistency gives support to the body tissues. Keratin, collagen and elastin are examples of them. The keratin shapes a protective shield in the hair and feathers, in other animals. The collagen and elastin are part of the connective tissues, such as the ligaments and tendons.

Proteins of storage: Useful for the formation of the proteins that make up the body. They can be found in the white eggs and milk.

Transport Proteins: Its role is to bring a site to other molecules, as does the hemoglobin that carries oxygen through the blood.

In general the proteins with a very important element for the agency. The adequate food and moderate exercise contribute to complete their functions properly, resulting in a good health.
