For now, all we have heard that diets with high-fat are detrimental to our long-term health, but what happens with the short term?

A new study in animals, believes that 10 days after eating a diet high in fat cause in the short term, the loss of memory and difficulty for exercise. While the finding may not appear to be a great surprise, researchers say, that diets high in fat leading to the man to laziness and stupidity.

“The diets high in fat are typically western and be associated with complications defined in the long term, such as obesity, diabetes and heart failure, but in the short term consequences to these diets have not had much attention,” said Andrew Murray, co-author of the study at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom.

“We hope that the conclusions of our study help people to think seriously in the reduction in the fat content of their daily intake of food, for the immediate benefit in the general state of health and alert”.

Studies on laboratory animals led to higher levels in the protein of decoupling 3, which makes it less efficient use of oxygen necessary, to generate energy functional.
