Acupuncture Meridians and Points
We are talking about acupuncture, ear acupuncture, acupressure or similar alternative therapies, all working with the body’s meridian points. The acupuncture meridians are a central concept in Chinese medicine, and they constitute a basis for the application and issued basis of many therapies of oriental wisdom.
Basically, the body’s meridians are lines of energy during that run throughout our body. We all twelve meridians in all, and these are divided to six in each half of the body. The energy runs through them freely, and any disruption in its course may bring unwanted effects.
The energy blocks generate health problems of various kinds, which can range from constipation and headaches to depression. Acupuncture and associated therapies attempt to release these energy blockages by stimulating certain meridian points, so you can promote good health and have the energy to run freely through the channels.
The meridians of acupuncture are working not over, but on time. By pressure, work with needles or magnets, alternative therapies work on specific issues known to the therapist, who allow you to open the course of the meridians so that energy (or chi) can travel unimpeded.
Meridian therapy is complementary to any other type of alternative therapy. Its width allows you to work on mental health as physical health, and this makes it possible to open the application spectrum. Thus, it is used for example to stop smoking, to combat depression or to treat symptoms of menopause, among many other applications that science has proven effective.
