August 16th, 2010 by san-felice team

Each of us wants to look the best that we can. If every time you stand before a mirror and find yourself cribbing about some or the other part of your body, body contouring procedures are the answer to your prayers. With the numerous body shaping options available today, you can enhance you figure and overall appearance easily and safely.

Whether it’s the loose granny arms that are bothering you or the sagging breasts or the most common problem of bulging tummy, you can get it all fixed by opting for body contouring. Some of the most common body contouring procedures that people are going for are listed below.

Tummy Tuck

Excess fat and skin around the abdominal area often makes it impossible for men and women to have flat abs no matter how healthy they eat and how much they exercise. If you too are facing the same problem, you can book an appointment for a tummy tuck and get ready to flaunt your washboard abs.

Bicep and Tricep Implants

Toned biceps and triceps add to the attractiveness of a person, be it a male or a female. An easy way to get this is by going for bicep or tricep implants that are made of soft silicone and are used to give muscular definition to upper and lower arms.

Liposuction

Since excess fat seems to be the main culprit behind protruding tummy, shapeless buttocks and thunder thighs, liposuction is commonly used to remove fat stores from these body parts and to sculpt the same. This procedure can also be performed on the arms and takes less than 2 hours per body part. Some people also opt for full body liposuction that can last for up to 6 hours.

Body Lift

Flabby thighs, abdomen and buttocks are some of the common after effects of child birth as well as the natural aging process. However, this can easily be reversed by a complete body lift that aims at reshaping the above mentioned body parts. To get rid of the back fat rolls many women are opting for the relatively new body contouring method of bra-line back lift.

Usefulness of Micro Algae

August 4th, 2010 by san-felice team

For years oceanographers have been researching about micro algae and their usefulness. The deep oceans are the thriving places of such microscopic plants. One cannot help but be amazed at the several ways micro algae benefits human lives. An astonishing fact leading to micro algae survival is that they can endure in deep ocean areas which are low in nitrate content (Nitrate is the essential food for micro algae).

These microscopic organisms are useful in several ways such as they are an important food source for crops, important ingredient in fertilizers, and food source for humans as well. Micro algae are also used as colorants; they also have chemical usages in pharmaceuticals.

Increase in demands for micro algae has led several countries to cultivate these microscopic plants. Generally micro algae are of two types; phyto planktons and microphytes. They have commercial and industrial usages; however their excessive small sizes have compelled to cultivate them at a huge rate.   To cultivate micro algae you need to maintain a certain temperature which supports the growth of these plants.

To harvest algae you need to provide optimum light, carbon dioxide, minerals and water. These are some of the major factors which support algae cultivation. With the help of these basic requirements you can harvest the maximum amount of microscopic plants. However one must also know the fact that the growth elements may sometimes vary with the type of algae being cultivated.

Micro algae are usually bred in open waters such as ponds and lakes. Pond sizes determine the production amount. To cultivate micro algae in ponds is a cheaper means. Larger ponds generate huge production. Larger space would also mean that you can cultivate numerous types of these micro plants. Lakes are also favorable for greater production of algae. They are basically grown in tropical regions and are mostly harvested during the warmer seasons.

However it is astonishing to know the fact that like most of these microscopic plants there are several micro organisms which are harmful for humans. One of such types includes Chlamydia Trachomatis. It is a type of bacterium which causes a sexually transmitted disease known as Chlamydia. A Chlamydia test is just an attempt to know whether the person is affected by the bacteria or not.
